Touch is important for our physical and mental health. That is why massage can work wonders. With yoga massage, we add this ‘touch’ to Yin Yoga.
The fine tissue (fascia) around the joints, the connective tissue and in and around the muscles becomes smoother by practicing Yin postures. The application of massage, stretching techniques and energy work in these positions reinforce this effect and ensure more conscious relaxation and supports the different asanas.
The massaged person, in a state of relaxation and presence, is guided into yoga-like stretches and receives a massage with the help of thumbs, palms, forearms, elbows, knees and feet. The balanced mix of letting go and being present allows the receiver to release tension at a deeper level, eliminating blockages. Movement and conscious relaxation in one - a beautiful mix of two elements that affect both the physical and the emotional. And, by setting an intention, giving it to the other, the person will receive your healing power of attention: 'attention goes where energy flows'. Let's play with it and feel the magic!
This is a complementary training for Yin Yoga teachers that want to add a deepening element to their practice.
